Marble Tower ★★★

The biggest advantages of the Marble hotel were the location - in the center of the tourist district of Hamra, close to eating places, and the staff who did their best to make up for the inconvenience. One of the gentlemen in particular, Adlib, if I remember correctly, was incredibly kind and caring, and it was also possible to have very interesting discussions with him.

Unfortunately, the comfort of the hotel leaves much to be desired. The plaster is falling off the walls, there is dust in the corners of the wardrobe, and there is a feeling of dirt. It is obvious that the hotel has not undergone any renovation for a very long time. The biggest problem for me personally was the lack of hot water, lack of full breakfasts, and the omnipresent stench of cigarettes.

It is very well located in the centre of Hamra, so lots of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. We wanted this place. The beds are comfortable and the hotel is good. Reception is open 24h and staff is very helpful. Not everyone speaks English, but they really want to help, so we felt very welcomed there. Power is on and off in Beirut in general, so this is not on the hotel. Internet worked perfectly when there was power, no problems on this.

The bathroom was a problem. In our first bedroom there was just a horrible smeel, and the drain was not really working in the shower. The bathroom was always flooded because of some problem in the shower. We bought water bottles to wash our teeth. We talked to the staff and they moved us to another room on the third day. The bathroom was much better, but still with some issues in the shower and the beds were old and not so comfortable. The second room was on the first floor so it was a bit noisy too, which was not an issue for us, but it depends on the person. Still, was better than the previous hotel we stayed in Beirut.

It was reasonably cheap and reasonably central. The staff were quite friendly.

The shower head was broken. There were random blackouts. The internet often didn't work.

They treated us well despite the faults that happened. Everything was clean.

When i arrived, they asked for my partners ID, this is the first time a hotel reception asks for my partners ID. Also there was no electricity in the room when i got there.. Then, after they solved the problem, the lamp in the toilet was defective too. So we had to wait until they changed it. In addition, the electricity went off two times and one of these two lasted for a full hour.. the hour before the check out when i needed to charge my phone before departing. This is aside from the extra 7 dollars they asked me to pay for a reason i didn't understand exactly. But they said its some kind of taxes.. However, i didn't know prior.

It was really good vacation in this hotel the stuff are very kind and helpful Ali,Issam and Hussain . I booked single room but they gave me a Suite. The location is very nice and everything is near you there. I can't say everything was perfect 100% but the price is very good with their services . The breakfast was ok not bad I think I will stay there again in the future when I come to Lebanon.

The whole place needs a massive make over... facilities are rotting away ( balcony) , beds are very uncomfortable to the point that you wake up in pain ! Bathrooms are rusty & basin leaks It’s such a shame that this little jewel in Beirut has been left to rot away ️

What a great find! Lovely big breakfast with lots of choice and some fresh options too. Great location within walking distance of everything you need in Hamra and surrounding areas. Staff were really friendly. Nice big bedroom and bathroom, very clean. Really enjoyed our stay.

Smell of smoke in rooms - could suggest having designated none smoking rooms?

The hotel needs to be closed down. I was I initially given a room (105) that had a smashed mirror , smelled damp, the carpet was destroyed and the electrical sockets hanging off the walls. They gave me a suite when I complained (see pics of that ) just as bad. I slept 1 hour as the place is horrendous. After complaining they charged me one night. I was also not even given a room key and so was trapped up in that awful room. I only stayed here as I arrived at 2am.

Quick check-in, friendly staff, great location

The hotel from inside felt like it witnessed 3 civil wars and still survived. The walls paint was peeled out, the elevator felt like falling anytime, and the carpets, aufff, almost as old as my grandmother

There was a connecting door from my room to the next. You have to be lucky who is next door! The day I was leaving, loud French group moved in!

The staffs are really friendly and helpful. Especially Jose helped us to find Jeita tour and taxi.

The room fulfilled my expectations from cleanness, tidiness. The bathroom was clean and had the basic utilities from shampoo, soap, and towels.

We had an upgrade from Lux Doubble to a suite at the 7th floor. Thr suite was spacious an bright. We enjoyed it very much . The hotel is conviently located 10 minutes on foot to the corniche. Bus Nbr. 15 runs from the corniche to Cola junction and Charles Helou. West Beirut is in walking distance and the rest of the city can be reached even on foot or by minibus. There are a lot of shops and restaurants around.

Wlan/ Wifi is unreliable.
