They treated us well despite the faults that happened. Everything was clean.

When i arrived, they asked for my partners ID, this is the first time a hotel reception asks for my partners ID. Also there was no electricity in the room when i got there.. Then, after they solved the problem, the lamp in the toilet was defective too. So we had to wait until they changed it. In addition, the electricity went off two times and one of these two lasted for a full hour.. the hour before the check out when i needed to charge my phone before departing. This is aside from the extra 7 dollars they asked me to pay for a reason i didn't understand exactly. But they said its some kind of taxes.. However, i didn't know prior.

I regret that I didn't choose a slightly more expensive but more comfortable one

The biggest advantages of the Marble hotel were the location - in the center of the tourist district of Hamra, close to eating places, and the staff who did their best to make up for the inconvenience. One of the gentlemen in particular, Adlib, if I remember correctly, was incredibly kind and caring, and it was also possible to have very interesting discussions with him.

Unfortunately, the comfort of the hotel leaves much to be desired. The plaster is falling off the walls, there is dust in the corners of the wardrobe, and there is a feeling of dirt. It is obvious that the hotel has not undergone any renovation for a very long time. The biggest problem for me personally was the lack of hot water, lack of full breakfasts, and the omnipresent stench of cigarettes.

It is very well located in the centre of Hamra, so lots of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. We wanted this place. The beds are comfortable and the hotel is good. Reception is open 24h and staff is very helpful. Not everyone speaks English, but they really want to help, so we felt very welcomed there. Power is on and off in Beirut in general, so this is not on the hotel. Internet worked perfectly when there was power, no problems on this.

The bathroom was a problem. In our first bedroom there was just a horrible smeel, and the drain was not really working in the shower. The bathroom was always flooded because of some problem in the shower. We bought water bottles to wash our teeth. We talked to the staff and they moved us to another room on the third day. The bathroom was much better, but still with some issues in the shower and the beds were old and not so comfortable. The second room was on the first floor so it was a bit noisy too, which was not an issue for us, but it depends on the person. Still, was better than the previous hotel we stayed in Beirut.
